When you provide your data to us, either during registration or during a purchase, we collect this. This information helps us provide you with a better service whenever you interact with us.
Typically, we collect your contact details (name, address, telephone contact numbers, email address), payment information, as well as information about your transactions with us via any element of the ‘Group’ or brands. To improve our website, we collect non-personal information about how users navigate through the site. Other than for an ‘abandoned basket’, this statistical information does not include individual names or personal data, so it does NOT identify you or any other customer.

We treat your privacy rights seriously and whilst the legislation does not provide a time limit for the amount of time we retain your personal details, we will only retain your details for as long is required based on the purpose for which it was collected. We don’t collect or store any ‘sensitive data’
We do collect payment method and payment details when processing payments and we work with PCI compliant Payment Processor to arrange your stage or part payments for projects and we share that data with ‘sub processors’ when necessary under strict Data Processing contracts.
Your data may be used by each ‘Sub-Brand” of Easylife.
We are also part of several ‘Data Alliances’ that share mail order data only (Name and Address) that have a Legitimate Interest in introducing their products and services. We would also like to pass only your name and address to other companies in the Charity, Financial, Leisure, Travel and Mail Order sectors so they can contact you with details of their products, services, offers and competitions, where their and our legitimate interest does not infringe your privacy rights. If you don’t want to receive these offers you can either advise our customer service team that you wish to be excluded or you will be able to exclude yourself individually from each as they make contact.

We process personal information on the following bases:
Customers and prospects are contacted by phone and by mail on the basis of ‘Legitimate Interest’ as they have demonstrated interest in our products and services or those of other businesses like ours operating in the mail order sector.
ELG only emails or texts customers and prospects who have shared their email addresses or mobile phone numbers with us. The basis for doing this is known as the ‘Soft opt-in’ as outlined under the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations 2003 (PECR).
Every customer has the opportunity to opt-out of receiving these communications both when their data is collected or via each communication and anybody who doesn’t opt-out is giving us permission to use those details to make contact with them.
Mail order prospects who have been contacted from data that we have received from ‘data alliances’ or ‘list rental’ are mailed on the basis of ‘legitimate interest’. These have been shared as customers who have not opted out of 3rd party data sharing.
Any customer or subscriber can exclude themselves from receiving marketing material using Customer Service (0333 030 0777) or the Mailing Requests topic of our Contact Page to do so.
We are based in the UK and comply with all local privacy regulations, we cannot legislate for any regulations or laws that may apply differently in other countries. Submitting your personal data (in some cases including overseas based email addresses) is done so strictly on that basis and the data of any foreign nationals, that we may hold as a result, is the responsibility of the person who submits it.
